The 3rd and 4th graders of Roosa Elementary recently presented “Go West!”, a musical written by John Jacobson and Roger Emerson. This enchanting show tells the story of gold discovered in the hills of California and land being offered to settlers ready for a fresh start in the newly explored American West. Cowpokes and miners, farmers and trappers, and adventurers of all kinds journeyed across the stage as our students brought the promise of the American Dream to life.

Great job, Roosa! You put on a wonderful performance for your school, your friends, and your families!

Our Jazz Band received a wonderful invitation from Chairman Senator Adam Pugh and the Senate Education Committee to perform at the Oklahoma State Capitol — an incredible opportunity to showcase their talent and spread holiday spirit in such a meaningful setting.

Being invited to entertain at the Capitol is a true testament to the dedication, musicianship, and hard work of our students and directors. We are so proud to see our Jazz Band representing Claremore Public Schools with excellence and professionalism.

What an unforgettable experience and honor for our talented Zebras! 🦓🎷✨

Zebra Theatre Brings Harvey to Life! 🎭

Our Zebra Theatre students delivered a delightful performance of Mary Chase’s classic comedy, Harvey — charming the audience with wit, warmth, and plenty of laughs. The story of Elwood P. Dowd and his six-foot-tall invisible rabbit, Harvey, unfolded into a heartwarming (and hilarious) exploration of friendship, kindness, and what it truly means to be “normal.” 🐰✨

From memorable characters to laugh-out-loud moments, our students showcased incredible talent, timing, and dedication on stage. We are so proud of the hard work, creativity, and heart that went into this production. Bravo to our Zebra Theatre cast and crew for an unforgettable performance! 🦓

5th grade art classes across the district participated in a special project in partnership with the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, creating beautiful ornaments for the museum’s Christmas trees! 🎅🖌️

Today, we’re excited to spotlight Catalayah’s 5th grade artists, whose creativity truly shines. The museum staff provided salt dough ornaments for each building, and students had the opportunity to decorate their own, resulting in a festive display full of color, imagination, and holiday cheer! ❤️💚

We love seeing our students share their talents through meaningful partnerships with the Claremore community and our district.
