1. Why did you go into Coaching?

I got into coaching because I love sports and helping kids improve and have fun.  Of course I love competing and winning, too, but I love the connection with kids.

2. What is the most memorable coaching moment you have ever had? (Does Not have to be softball related)

One of my most memorable coaching moments was a hard fought championship game by my 8th grade girls basketball team.  I had the same group for 2 years and we only lost one game total.  The last one was a good win, but not easy.  It was a proud coaching moment with an amazing group of girls.

3. What is your favorite moment from when you were an athlete either in high school or college?

My senior year of college we were playing against Humbolt State in the final game for Regionals .  I had struck out twice by a pitcher with a great riseball. We had runners on and I got a base hit in the 5/6 hole for 2 RBIs. We ended up winning and going to the College World Series.

4. What was the most embarrassing moment you had as an athlete or coach?

My freshman year of college I was running out to shortstop in between innings, when my cleat got stuck in my shoelace.  I fell on my face!

5. What's the funniest thing you have ever experienced as a coach, something that makes you laugh to this day?

I honestly don't know, sorry.

6. What is the best excuse you have ever received from a player for not being at practice?

I don't think I've had any good ones. One time a girl said she missed because she wanted to go watch color-guard practice.

7. What is your Favorite sports movie and why?

Major League... It's a hilarious classic and has so many famous quotes. It's a movie I probably saw 100 times growing up.

8. What is your favorite sports quote?

"It's a lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself." - Muhammad Ali
