School Communications 101

We know smartphones have become one of the primary ways families communicate and access information. That's why the CPS app is built specifically for mobile, creating one convenient place for parents, students, staff, and community members to stay connected to our schools.

Through the CPS app, users can access district and school news, announcements, calendars and events, cafeteria menus, real-time athletic scores, staff contact information, important notifications, and more.

But the app goes beyond keeping families informed. It also provides access to Rooms, CPS's direct communication platform connecting families with their child's teachers.

Rooms is designed to simplify school-to-home communication by eliminating the need for families to navigate multiple classroom communication apps such as Seesaw, GroupMe, Remind, and similar platforms.

All CPS teachers will use Rooms for classroom communication, giving families one consistent place to connect with their child's teachers throughout the district.

Through Rooms, families can receive classroom announcements, communicate directly with teachers, stay informed about what's happening in their child's classroom, and remain more actively connected to their child's education—all within the CPS app they already use for district and school information.

We encourage every CPS family to download the Claremore Public Schools app, turn on notifications for the district and their child's school, and begin using Rooms.
