Freshman Orientation Scheduled

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION

August 5th from 8:30 AM - 11 AM

Claremore High School’s annual freshman orientation program will be on August 5th from 8:30 AM - 11 AM. Parents & students will meet in the Robson PAC for a brief 30-minute meeting with the 9th-grade counselor, Asst. Principal, Principal, and other key personnel to go over new requirements, school schedules, and additional relevant information. We encourage parents to attend but it is not required for your child to attend orientation.

This program introduces students to the high school campus with tours of the facilities, a variety of team-building activities, and all things that instill #CPSZEBRAPRIDE.

The event is staffed by CHS administrators, teachers, and FUZE mentors (juniors and seniors). Following this meeting, the #CHSClassof2025 will be paired with CHS FUZE mentors in small groups for the daily activities. The mentors will also work to connect with the students throughout the year as they navigate the various success, challenges, and experiences this new year will bring.

“Freshman orientation was designed to connect students with the people, places, and information they need to be successful in high school,” said CHS Principal - Dr. Kenny Hindenburg.  “Our hope is that participation in orientation will help students feel at home so they may grow personally and academically.”

To lay the groundwork for a successful 2021-22 high school year, incoming CHS freshmen are encouraged to attend this orientation.
