Students in Coach Jackson's Career Plan and Development class are learning essential life skills by exploring topics like taxes and insurance. The lessons cover how taxes impact income, the importance of filing correctly, and the basics of insurance policies. Through these real-world topics, students are better prepared to manage their finances and make informed decisions in the future.

Mr. Riggs is engaging his students with hands-on learning through heart dissections and full fetal pig autopsies. These activities allow students to explore anatomy in detail, gaining practical insights into organ systems and biological functions. By working directly with specimens, students develop a deeper understanding of physiology and sharpen their scientific skills.









There will be a spirit bus this Thursday going to Moore for the volleyball state quarterfinals. There is a limit of 48 students who are able to ride the bus. A permission form is required and must be turned into the front office by Wednesday. Permission forms are in the front office . Good luck to the volleyball team!

The Claremore High School Zebra Marching Band will have their state OBA send-off show and family night on Tuesday, 10/22/24, at 6:30 PM at Lantow Field. If you haven't had a chance to see their award winning show, Set Sail, you won't want to miss it! Good luck at state!
The CHS Varsity Dance Team is hosting a Spaghetti and Bingo Dinner on Thursday, October 24, from 6-8 PM in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are $10 each, with exciting prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Itβs a cash-only event, so come ready for a fun evening of food and games while supporting the dance team!

The Chad Cargill ACT Prep workshop is being offered at the Northeast Tech in Pryor on Tuesday Oct. 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The cost is $40 and can be paid the day of the event. Call the Pryor campus at 918-825-5555 to reserve your seat.

Red Ribbon π Week began in 1985. Red Ribbon π Week is a drug and violence prevention awareness campaign that takes place in the United States every October. The Red Ribbon π is a symbol for a number of causes including: Drug Prevention, Drunk Driving Prevention, Multiple Sclerosis and the fight against HIV/AIDS. The Claremore Indian Education Committee(IEC) wil be having a special meeting on Tuesday October 8th ,2024 from 5:45-6:30 p.m. at the Enrollment Center located at 101 West 11th. The meeting will be held for the purpose of holding the JOM Annual Election.
To serve on the JOM IEC, a person must be the parent or guardian of a JOM verified child. School board members or spouses, school administrators or spouses and school employees or spouses cannot serve on the committee.
Any parent, community member, or others interested may attend the meeting

CHS students had the opportunity to visit with the RSU Admissions Counsellors Monday during Encore! These visits allow students to learn more about admission requirements, scholarships, degrees, housing, and important deadlines that are approaching. Students can sign up for college rep visits by completing the Google Form in the Senior Google Classroom. If you have any questions, email Sarah Adcock at sadcock@claremore.12.ok.us

Students will need to use their student ID's to get into the game Friday night at East Central. You may use last year's ID since we have not received this years yet. Administrators will also be at the gates to identify our students and approve their entry if you don't have a student ID. This will apply to all games played at Tulsa Public School sites.

Antigone One Act Play ππ performance is this Friday, Oct 4th and Saturday, Oct 5th in the PAC. Doors πͺopen at 7:00 p.m. and the π²cost is $5.00.

Claremore Juniors and Seniors are going to Stillwater on Oct. 9th for an "OSU Up Close" event. OSU is providing charter buses and lunch that day! At this event, students will get to see campus and learn more about what OSU has to offer. Students will load the bus at 8:15a that day and will return to CHS by 3:20p. Only the first 100 students to sign up get to attend! Permission forms are due by Oct. 4 and must be turned in to Mrs. Adcock in the front office!
Students must return a signed form and scan the QR code on the form for OSU registration.

Thank you to the U.S. Army for bringing AS11, a remarkable 64-foot, 30-ton tractor/trailer asset, to our school. The eight virtual reality helicopter stations provided an immersive experience where participants teamed up in Operation Firebreak to combat forest fires, offering a unique and hands-on perspective of the challenges faced by pilots. The use of Oculus headsets and motion-actuating chairs made the simulation both thrilling and realistic. We appreciate the Army's commitment to engaging and educating the community through this advanced technology.







Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors - the ASVAB career exploration exam is being offered free of charge on Oct. 8th at 8:30am in the CHS library. This is a military entrance exam but is also used to help determine what career is right for you. Please sign up for the ASVAB in Mrs. Rehaneks office, room 101.
