Recently, students in Mr. Noland's AP English Language & Composition classes at Claremore High School undertook an engaging and empowering academic endeavor. They delved into personalized research topics, demonstrating their intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills. The culmination of their efforts was witnessed in the form of motivational speeches delivered during their ZED talks. These presentations showcased the students' eloquence, analytical prowess, and passion for their chosen subjects. The atmosphere at Claremore High School was charged with intellectual fervor as each student captivated their audience with insightful perspectives and compelling arguments. Mr. Noland's classes not only fostered academic excellence but also nurtured the essential skills of public speaking and effective communication, leaving an indelible mark on the students' academic and personal growth.

Claremore High School is making waves in the world of robotics as it proudly dispatches five formidable robotics teams to compete in the recently inaugurated VEX Robotics Native American Showcase in Arizona. This prestigious event serves as a platform for showcasing not only technical prowess but also innovation and teamwork. Claremore High School's commitment to excellence is evident in the rigorous preparation and dedication displayed by each of its robotics teams. The competition, which attracts talent from across the nation, provides a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and collaborate with like-minded individuals. This year the goal was to move balls to your side of the field or underneath a net. Each team tried to score as many points as possible, in order to beat their opponent. Each Claremore team created their own robot and split the responsibilities amongst the group: these include a driver, journalist, builder, programmer, and a team leader. Robotic competitions take pride in teaching those life skills as well as interviewing skills and good sportsmanship. The Zebras had several successful teams including two teams that qualified for World Competition in Dallas. The rest of our teams have one more chance to compete in order to qualify for Worlds. Every year Ms. Huddleston's graphic design class completes a caricature project. The students get to pick a teacher and create a caricature of them using photoshop. The students really enjoy this project because they get to be creative and put their computer skills to work. The students pick teachers who either inspire them, or a class that they enjoy taking. After the students have completed the project Mrs. Huddleston posts these photos for the staff to vote on. The following were the winners: 1st place: Caricature #35 - Mr. Noland, created by Robert Eastridge 2nd place (3 way tie): Caricature #27 - Coach Weber, created by McKenna Wren Caricature #29 - Mr. Schulze, created by Antonio Snyder Caricature #30 - Mr. Cummings, created by Maia Robins
