This week at Claremore High School the Student Council went to fall districts in Oologah. Student Council districts provide educational leadership training and opportunities for students and sponsors of member schools. Yearbook interviewed some members about their experience. President Rex Clark said “I enjoyed listening to the motivational speaker and dancing with my friends.” By participating in this Fall District leadership training, Claremore High School's Student Council is better prepared to take on their responsibilities and initiatives to improve the school community throughout the academic year. The students returned from Oologah with renewed enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a deeper understanding of their roles as leaders within the school, ready to make a positive impact on their peers and the community. In addition, this event also provided valuable information on future goals and opportunities that come after senior year.

Claremore High School staff embarked on an exhilarating educational adventure as they spent time immersing themselves in the world of the National Guard. With a thrilling twist, they had the unique opportunity to ride aboard a Blackhawk Helicopter, providing an up-close encounter with the military's aviation capabilities. This hands-on experience allowed them to gain an in-depth understanding of the National Guard's vital role in our nation's defense and disaster response efforts. It was a day filled with insights and awe-inspiring moments, fostering a deeper appreciation for the dedication and commitment of those who serve in the National Guard. This immersive experience undoubtedly left an indelible mark on CHS staff, enriching their ability to inspire and educate their students about the multifaceted world of military service. Thank you SSG Ashleigh Haskins for providing this amazing experience for us!
