📚 THANK YOUR LIBRARIAN TODAY 📚
“A library is a good place to go when you feel unhappy, for there, in a book, you may find encouragement and comfort. A library is a good place to go when you feel bewildered or undecided, for there, in a book, you may have your question answered. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people - people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book." [Letters of Note; Troy (MI, USA) Public Library, 1971]
― E.B. White
It's National Library Workers Day and we can't think of any better way to celebrate than to visit your school librarian and check out a book. I know they will have a recommendation for whatever you want to feel between the pages of a good book.
THANK YOU!!!

Welcome Mr. Derek Jackson. Derek is our new Volleyball Coach at the high school. Along with coaching volleyball, he also teaches Female Fitness and College, Career, and ACT Prep classes. Derek received his Bachelor's degree in Science from Oklahoma State University. He has been teaching since 2016, but this is his first year with Claremore Public Schools. Mr. Jackson says that he chose to work at CPS because he believes it will give him the opportunity to have a larger impact on students in the school and on the court.

GEAR UP college experts will be available for FAFSA assistance on March 25TH and April 22nd (8 AM to 3 PM) and March 24th during ZAP in the Think Tank at CHS. Parents are welcome to drop in with questions.

Avoid No-Credit College Courses
No-credit courses, also called remedial courses, are classes based on college entrance exam scores that students must take to build skills – most often in reading, English and math – before they are allowed to take regular college classes. These courses are designed to improve skills, fill in gaps, or help students gain proficiency in these subjects. Some students may be required to take remedial courses in a single area or several areas. For more information, check out our video:
