If you have not noticed let me tell you about our volleyball program. They have started this year off with a 11-2 record and the rest of the state is taking notice. The first rankings have come out and everyone agrees that the Zebras are a problem for the rest of 5a, earning a #2 ranking. When I asked Coach Jackson his thoughts on the #2 ranking he gave the typical head coach response saying, "Rankings this time of the year do not matter, it matters that we keep the momentum and continue to play well." I know what he said but I noticed the smile on his face when he said it. Coach Jackson is proud of what his girls have accomplished so far this season, and he is very happy for the team getting the recognition they deserve.
The volleyball program does not just consist of varsity, we have some junior high teams that are also off to a great start. The 7th and 8th grades are both sitting at 4-1 and looking to add to that total this week.
