Aubrey Pilgrim

Aubrey is a junior softball player for the Lady Zebras. She has been described as a true team player, willing to do anything to help the team, and wow has she ever. Aubrey has been splitting time between playing left field and DP.  She is hitting .464 with a .545 OBP.  She ranks second in batting average on the team and second in on-base percentage.  She has 13 hits with two doubles and 4 RBI's in 12 games.  When asked about Aubrey Coach Short said "She has definitely been a bright spot at the backend of the order. She is competing and producing quality at-bats every day and offers us some flexibility in our lineup "

Not only is Aubrey becoming a great Zebra athlete, she is already a great student. Aubrey carries a 3.1 GPA and is the definition of a student-athlete.  Coach Short also commented about Aubrey's academics saying "I love that I never have to worry about her academics, she takes care of that part all on her own."

As far as the rest of the Lady Zebras go, they are quietly starting to play some good softball. The Zebras have a winning streak of six games against some pretty stiff competition.  Two of those six wins have come against 6a Stillwater and district rival Coweta.

If you have not had a chance to watch these girls you are missing out, but the good news is there are many more opportunities starting tomorrow. So get out and show your support to this talented group tomorrow evening as we play host to Grove at 7 pm.
