How Sick Is Too Sick For School?

Tis the season in Oklahoma - sniffling, sneezing, coughing, headache, fever, tummy aches, nausea, etc.

We miss our students when absent, but sometimes they need to recover at home;  how do you make that decision? CPS encourages following the Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines. These guidelines will help the child recover and protect against the spread of illnesses to other students and staff.

Symptoms Chart

Remember, students/staff should only return to school once they have been fever-free, vomiting or diarrhea free for 24 hours without medication.

If you have questions, contact the school nurse at your child's school of record.
