Claremore High School is giving back to the community. Our community and teachers donated food to a food closet that is available to any student or family in need of food. Since the students are not in the building, we packed up the food, and it will be distributed this Friday at the Central Office location.

Attention families planning on sending your students to Washington, DC, on June 2-6 with Coach Douthitt and Mr. Cummings.
Unfortunately, our trip is postponed until June 2021 due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. Mr. Cummings sent an email to all parents/guardians with a message concerning all available options for your student.
Please check your email and contact Mr. Cummings if you have any questions. Consequently, because of this postponement, enrollment will reopen for this trip soon. If any current 8th grader or high school student is interested in going to Washington, DC in June 2021, stay tuned for information as it becomes available.

Parents and Students,
Congratulations! We made it through the first week of Distance Learning. The teachers are reporting that most of their students are either participating online or through the packet system Great job parents and students adapting to this unprecedented situation of continuous learning without entering the school building. It will get easier, as I have found over the last four weeks of distance learning myself.
Please remember communication with your teachers is the key to student success during this time. If you have not been in contact with your teachers at all it is not too late to pick up a packet or join your class online, but please make contact as soon as possible. If you need to change your phone number, address or email, please email snelson@claremore.k12.ok.us or call me at 918-923-4211 ext 3000 and leave a message.
We will be creating weekly announcement videos starting next week, so stay tuned. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you for having such a great commitment to your education and making this week a success.
Have a great Easter weekend. GO ZEBRAS!!

UPDATE 4-3-20
RE: Letter from Superintendent Frazier about Continuous Learning Launch April 6th
Zebra Family,
My hope and prayers are that you are safe & healthy while taking care of your families and friends. Our number one concern is your safety and wellbeing. Parents, we love and miss your children. Closing our buildings and canceling many of our year-end events leaves us broken-hearted. Since these restrictions have gone into place, we have been working on a plan to connect with students and families - to do what we do best - love and teach your children. I am so proud of the work our teachers and administrators have done over these past few weeks. I am proud to be a Zebra.
With that said, tonight, we are releasing our Continuous Learning Model for all students beginning Monday, April 6th.
Read more and access the guides on our website...https://www.claremore.k12.ok.us/o/cps/page/continuous-learning-plan-distance-learning-resources

Communication has been sent through student email.
If you can't login to your school email, go to gmail.com for access and click "Sign In" in the top right corner. Your email is StudentID@claremore.k12.ok.us and your previously set password. If you need your password reset, please contact khindenburg@claremore.k12.ok.us and we will reset it as soon as possible.

Parents and students, please check your email today. There is an email sent to either the parent or the student concerning a survey regarding your technology availability. This is very important information as we are planning our curriculum and modes of instruction. I have received concerns on students without internet and/or without computers or even phones. Please know we are working diligently on how we will deliver the instruction through many modes of communication.
