Mrs. Shuck and Mrs. Basks have been busy passing out more attendance treats! 🎉 Ms. Johnson’s 4th grade class and Mrs. Castle’s 3rd grade class have BOTH reached an incredible 44 days of perfect attendance! 🙌 To celebrate, they earned a special Breakfast with the Principal—what a fun and well-deserved reward! 👏 Way to go, students! Earth Day fun at Catalayah! 🌎💚 Yesterday we had a great time celebrating Earth Day across campus! Several classes worked on projects in the classroom, learning about the importance of taking care of our planet and simple ways they can make a difference. Mrs. Hall’s 1st grade class took their learning outside and helped clean up by picking up trash around the school—way to go, leaders! ♻️ Mrs. McCaw’s class had a special celebration of their own. They’ve been raising caterpillars and got to watch them transform into beautiful butterflies… and yesterday they released them! 🦋 What an unforgettable experience! Our precious lunch ladies joined in the fun too by making dirt cups with worms, and the kids absolutely loved them! 🍫🐛 It truly was the perfect day to celebrate our Earth! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

📚 Book Buddies in Action! 📚 Mrs. Desy’s 2nd grade class and Mr. Elliott’s 4th grade class got to spend some special time together in the library last week! Mrs. Meyers led them in some fun Book Buddy time, and it was such a great experience for everyone. The 4th graders did an amazing job reading with and spending time with the younger students—showing kindness, patience, and leadership! Moments like these make reading even more meaningful. 💛📖 What a wonderful time for all! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Today is Administrative Professionals Day. We want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the two individuals who truly keep our school pulse steady and our halls welcoming: Ms. Rachel and Ms. Donya.

They are the first voices you hear on the phone and the first smiles you see when you walk through our doors. While their titles might be administrative, their impact is foundational.  Please join us in offering a word of thanks to Ms. Rachel and Ms. Donya. Let’s make sure they know how much they are appreciated by the entire school community.

Tomorrow is ICE CREAM Day!!! Students either need to bring $1 or have $1 on their lunch account that they can use.

Ice Cream will be every other Wednesday for the rest of the school year.

🏀 Attendance Madness Champion 🏀 Our March Madness Attendance Showdown has come to an exciting end, and the winner is… 🥁 🎉 Mrs. Cole’s Pre-K Morning Class! 🎉 They went head-to-head with Mrs. Castle’s class in the championship and came out on top! What a fun and spirited competition! 👏 Great job to ALL of our classes for participating and focusing on attendance. Some of our fourth grade students were inspired by staff members creating supportive posters and treats, so they took it upon themselves to spread the encouragement too! They made their own motivational posters to brighten up the fourth grade hallway 🥰 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
