Big changes are happening this week!!! Mrs. James moved back to the classroom after 15 years of being the Librarian. She will be teaching Kindergarten!!!! Mrs. Ritter has taken over the Library. Mrs. Ritter has been one of our 5th grade teachers for the past 5 years. They are so excited about their new positions at Catalayah!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🏃‍♀️Running Club is starting soon🏃‍♂️ Have you turned in your Running Club forms???? If not, there are extras in the office. It is $25 to join Running Club and it will be after school every Monday starting Oct 7th. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Last week Mrs. Haltmar's class read A Bad Case Of The Stripes and learned about lima beans! Each student planted their own lima bean and will watch it grow!🌱❤️ #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Have you filled out the device protection plan yet and sent in payment?? If you haven't please do so this weekend. Prices go up at the 1st. First you will need to login to the parent app and fill out the meal benefit application. After that is filled out you will need to fill out the device protection plan also on the parent app. When both of those are filled out a balance will appear on the homepage of your app. It will show the amount that needs to be paid. REMINDER - In honor of the Labor Day holiday, CPS will be closed on Monday, September 2nd. "Before the reward, there must be labor. You plant before you harvest. Red Crown Federal Credit Union stopped by yesterday! They are so good to us. They brought each staff member the coolest little flashlight with tools attached. How cute!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Here are a few reminders about our school hours and information about attendance. SCHOOL STARTS AT 7:50. If you come after that you will need to park in the front, walk your child in and sign them in. Attendance is very important!! We need to make sure our students are not only at school but here on time to start their day!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Did you know that when the heat index is above 100 the kids stay inside for recess. They usually take a recess time in the morning instead. During inside recess these 4th graders have been enjoying some game time!!! What was your favorite board game as a kid? #CPSZEBRA PRIDE
