In Mrs. Grubbs' AP European History class at Claremore High School, an innovative and engaging learning activity took place as students participated in a unique "Speed Dating" event. Channeling the spirit of the Age of Absolutism, students embraced the challenge of dressing up as historical figures from that era. From Louis XIV to Peter the Great, the classroom transformed into a lively historical gathering. As students rotated through their encounters, they engaged in conversations to explore the similarities and differences between the various monarchs and leaders of the Age of Absolutism. This hands-on and immersive approach not only brought history to life but also provided students with a deeper understanding of the political, social, and cultural dynamics of the time period. Mrs. Grubbs' innovative teaching methods continue to inspire a love for history and critical thinking among her students at Claremore High School.

Coach Gelnar at Claremore High School is buzzing with excitement as the Zebra Dome's indoor practice facility gets a major upgrade β brand new artificial turf. This development opens up a realm of possibilities for the baseball team, providing ample space for live drills in fielding, hitting, pitching, and even mental imagery sessions. The outdated carpet, notorious for leaving a trail of "zebra dust" everywhere, is now replaced with a clean and versatile turf. The players can now confidently slide and dive during practices, enhancing their training experience. As the team gears up for the upcoming Baseball Season, Coach Gelnar and his coaching staff are not just focused on physical skills but have also invested significant time building relationships, instilling a strong work ethic, setting ambitious goals, and fostering a cohesive team atmosphere. In every practice, the emphasis is on being exemplary teammates and prioritizing the team above all else. With a commitment to helping each player become the best version of themselves every day, Coach Gelnar is eagerly anticipating a successful and rewarding season ahead. The picture was taken during the teams Mental Imagery session on the new turf.
