Our 5th graders practiced trust and teamwork in a fun activity called The Caterpillar.

The “head” of the caterpillar was the only one with eyes open, leading the way safely around the playground. The rest of the caterpillar had to keep their eyes closed and rely on trust, communication, and the person in front of them to guide the way.

To wrap it all up, students created their very own Play-Doh caterpillar molds—showing that when we all do our part, something wonderful comes together.

Learning how to trust, follow, and work as a team helps our students grow stronger together—just like our Claremont family!

Our third grade students enjoyed the book Sticks! by Diane Alber—a heartwarming story about a little popsicle stick who doesn’t feel very special at first. With a growth mindset, he learns that everyone has unique strengths and that believing in ourselves, learning from mistakes, and never giving up helps us all shine in our own way. 🌟 To celebrate, we shared Bomb Pops together in the courtyard! It was the sweetest reminder that learning and growing can be fun—and that just like “Sticks,” every one of us has something special to bring to the world. #ZebraNation

As a reminder for tomorrow's first day, the No Cell Bell to Bell law will be in effect when the first bell rings.

Earlier this year, the Oklahoma Legislature passed a new law requiring all public schools to become “cell phone-free zones” during school hours. In compliance, the Claremore Public Schools Board of Education has officially adopted a local policy to guide implementation across the district.
