We are proud to recognize Meredith Scott as our Pillar of Support Award recipient!

Meredith has served Claremont Elementary for the past five years as a Severe and Profound/Autism Paraprofessional, and her impact on our students and staff is truly remarkable. She goes above and beyond each day to support not only academic growth, but also the social and life skills that help our students thrive.

Meredith is deeply committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to grow, build confidence, and reach their goals. Her dedication, strong teamwork, and willingness to do whatever it takes to support her classroom and colleagues make her an invaluable part of our school family.

As someone who grew up in this community and once walked the halls of Claremont as a student, Meredith brings a special passion and heart to her work. She finds true joy in watching her students grow and succeed—and it shows in everything she does.

Congratulations, Meredith! We are so thankful for you and the difference you make every single day.

Friday, Mrs. Mills’ class did a wonderful job leading our Rise and Shine assembly with a powerful message about growth and perseverance.

They recited a poem about the beauty of making mistakes and how those mistakes help us learn and grow. With voices loud and proud, they reminded us that every stumble is a step forward and every challenge makes us stronger. It was such an important message for all of us!

We also celebrated our Student Shout-Out recipients, who were recognized for being positive leaders and shining examples in our school community.

Thank you to Mrs. Mills’ class for starting our day with encouragement and heart. What a great reminder that growth happens when we try, fall, and try again.

One of the most special parts of Read Across America Week was welcoming guest readers into our classrooms!

We are incredibly thankful for the community members who took time out of their busy schedules to share their love of reading with our students. From former staff members who still hold our school close to their hearts, to members of our local sheriff’s office, local pastors, and even an Early Childhood class from NTC — our students were surrounded by role models who showed them that reading matters at every stage of life.

Seeing community leaders sit in a tiny chair, open a book, and bring a story to life sends a powerful message: reading is important, reading is fun, and reading connects us all.

Thank you to everyone who came to read, encourage, and pour into our students. Your time and presence made a lasting impact!

We truly have the best community around us.

This week we celebrate School Social Worker Week, and we are so incredibly thankful for Ms. McCann!

Ms. McCann is a steady, caring presence in our building. She is a safe place for our students, a calm voice during hard moments, and a constant advocate for what is best for kids. Whether she’s helping students navigate big emotions, supporting families, collaborating with teachers or simply offering a listening ear, her impact reaches far beyond her office walls.

She works tirelessly behind the scenes to remove barriers so our students can focus on learning and growing. Because of her compassion, patience, and heart for children, our school is stronger every single day.

We are so grateful for you, Ms. McCann.

Thank you for the difference you make in the lives of our students and families!
