For this week, #wellnesswednesday focuses on an activity that can help calm the mind. Underwater Zentangles is an art project inspired by underwater creatures. The combination of artistic expression plus the addition of calming music helps to create an environment where students can feel calm and under control.

My name is Shauna Johnston and I teach 2nd grade. I have been in education for 11 years and this is my first year at CPS.
I attended Northeastern State University where I received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
I have been married to my husband Larry for 12 years. We are high school sweethearts and have the same birthday! We have a son, Zeke, who is a second grade student at Claremont. We love spending time together and doing anything together outdoors. We especially love the summer when we get to spend time at the lake!
I love to do anything crafty, exercise and shop. My favorite quote is "Love one another."

Don't forget about this awesome opportunity! No Library Card? Apply for a temporary E-Card at Will Rogers Library and access our digital resources from home! For those who are interested in our digital services but do not currently have a library card, we’re instituting a temporary Electronic Services card.👏👏👏
The library offers E-Books, E-Audiobooks, Streaming Video and E-Magazines! Each has their own catalog of digital downloads, which can be found under the E-books link on the library home page. Any patron in good standing will be able to download e-materials to their personal computer, smartphone, E-reader or listening device.
Please call the Will Rogers Library at 918-341-1564 to apply. We will need your name, birth date and address in Rogers County to set up this card. For those under 18, we will also need a parent's name, birth date and address. 📚👏😍🤩

This is #reallife. Many of our teachers not only spent their distance learning days creating lessons, conferencing with parents, and answering questions for their students but also worked with their own children on their distance learning lessons.

During distance learning, Mrs. Bradfield taught her students how to make a bird feeder. Then, one of her students made his own!
