4th and 5th graders have been working on symmetry in Mrs. Francis's art class and have created name creatures! The students wrote their names, traced the same design to the other side of the paper and then connected to make a symmetrical design. They were able to add their own creative details creating their unique design.

The 14-day Enrollment Options Trial Period Closes Wednesday, 9/9/20. Contact your school of record if any final adjustments need to be made from virtual to traditional or vice versa, by the end of the day. Parents, we will begin device distribution this week! If your student does not receive a device, we have not received the agreement or payment for the protection plan. All parents must fill out agreements before we distribute a device. There are two ways this can be done. You can sign off electronically, with the link below. The other option is to fill out a paper form. We must have these forms returned with your signature before we give out the device. Device protection payments can be sent to the school with your student, or you can pay in the office. PARENT ORIENTATION TRADITIONAL ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

ALL STUDENTS EAT FOR FREE The USDA – in an unprecedented move, due to the pandemic – is going to make school breakfast and lunch available FREE to all children through December 31, 2020, but is subject to end earlier due to available USDA funds. Lunch and breakfast will be available free every day to all students 18 and under; effective Thursday, September 3. This means that even students who are not ordinarily part of the free or reduced lunch programs will also be included in these free meal distributions. In honor of the Labor Day holiday, CPS will be closed on Monday, September 7th. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.
