My name is Teri Launius. I am the computers teacher. I have been in education for over 10 years and have been at Claremont for 8 years.
I attended Ferrum University and Union Presbyterian University where I recieved a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Affairs and Administration and a Master of Arts in Christian Education.
I have two grown children; Katy and Taylor and two miniature doxies as well as three grand fur-babies.
I enjoy spending time with my family, window shopping and reading.

Mrs. Harrison's 4th grade class plays a card game to review multiplication and find the missing factor. The caller says the product of the two cards and the first player to guess their card after seeing the other wins!

When you ask parents and teachers what they love most about Claremont, many of them will tell you that the community here is like none other.
This right here is proof of that! One of Mrs. Howells 2nd graders parents brought several items to help fill Thanksgiving baskets for some of our families in need!
It’s not too late to contribute! We are taking food items until Wednesday, November 18th.

4th grade WIN has worked hard on vocabulary this week. This week we celebrated our hard work with a game to practice our affix knowledge.

During reading groups this first grader played "Switch It". Switch It is a fun game that teaches phonics, phonemic awareness, and decoding all in one.

Students in Mrs. Bradfield's kindergarten class had Veterans Day mean a little more this year. One of her students, Eli Miller has a parent in the Armed Forces. His dad, Stephen Miller Sr. is serving in the Air Force: Air National Guard in Georgia. The class wrote letters/drew pictures to Mr. Miller thanking him for his service.

Mrs. Mitchells class worked on Veterans Day crafts yesterday. We love how each of our classes found a way to mark the importance of this very special day!

Mrs. Howells 2nd Grade class made poppies and did a Veterans Day Parade throughout the school to honor Veterans Day.

Kindergarten Students were able to learn about the importance Veterans Day holds yesterday as well! They created poppies and did directed drawings.

3rd grade getting ready to start their day. Our mornings at Claremont include flag salutes, class creeds, and other recitations. We also include a few minutes of exercise every morning as well!

Mrs. Troyer is our Librarian. This is her second year of teaching, and she has a passion for sharing good books with our students!

This year, our Veterans Day Program went virtual. We are so thankful for those who serve our country, past and present.

This week is School Psychology Awareness/Appreciation Week! We are thankful for our very own school psychologist, who helps to foster a sense of connection, and also helps teachers ensure academic success!
