Kindergarten classes read Duck For President, a story about a duck who decides he no longer wants to work the farm, he wants to RUN the farm. After students heard the story, they had a mock voting activity where they were able to vote on who they wanted for President, Duck or Farmer Brown.

First up for our Claremont Staff Spotlight is Ms. Wells. This is Ms. Wells second year at Claremont, and this year she is working with our CVS Students!

The arrival of November means several things: Pumpkin spice season is in full swing, holiday menus are being planned, guzzling hot chocolate is more than socially acceptable, there's a pie (or two!) in the oven, and—perhaps most importantly—it's ELECTION DAY!
Exercise your right - your privilege - your duty - GO VOTE!
#CPSZEBRAPRIDE

It was Election Day at Claremont today as well! Students in several classes had the opportunity to vote on different things - from what snack they would have today to what book was the class favorite. Mrs. Camber's Pre-K students also had voting booths set up and students got to mark their ballots with their choice!

Fun was had by all last week for Red Ribbon Week! Students enjoyed dressing up for each dress up day and left the week with knowledge on how to make healthy choices for themselves now and in the future! Take a look at the video highlights of the week here: https://youtu.be/218SsSSXfNE

Not sure anyone wants to add an extra hour to 2020, but it is that time of year.

There is nothing like homemade cinnamon rolls to give a person that feeling of soothing comfort - a big, warm, gooey, frosting dripping down, center of the cinnamon roll. None of the out-of-a-can or plain powdered sugar on top type but a fresh, warm, dough rolled by hand cinnamon roll to wrap you up and communicate appreciation from the sender to the receiver.
Well, that is just what the Claremore CCTA did for ALL the teachers and staff, district-wide. A small but warm gesture to say, "We see you and all you are doing. We support you. We appreciate you." Our teachers' tummies and hearts were fuller this week. Thank you!

We want all students to learn, and the best way to make that happen is to protect their electronic devices. Here are some reminders on how to protect your device. If you have any issues with your device, contact your school of record immediately to begin the repair claim process.

Earlier this fall, 2nd graders were able to observe the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly take place before their very eyes. Mrs. Bear found a monarch caterpillar and placed it in a container so the students were able to see this very cool metamorphosis take place.

Mrs. Bradfield's kindergarten class has been practicing their reading this week - and they have been doing it in a unique way! They have been using witch fingers to keep their place in a sentence!

Today was Wear Red Day to celebrate Red Ribbon Week! As Claremore Zebras, we have a lot of red! It was so fun to see the "seas of red" today!

Our Pre-K students went all out with PJ day yesterday! We are all wishing it was PJ day again today! Stay tuned for pictures from today! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Students wore patterns today for Red Ribbon Week! We think these pattern combos were pretty fun!

As a part of their morning routine, Mrs. Howells 1st grade class talks about the weather, the season, and how many days students have been in school!

PJ Day was a great way to begin this dreary and wet Monday! We think our students agree. Red Ribbon week is about more than just dress up days. We hope to inspire and encourage our students to make healthy decisions now - and later that will be a positive impact on their lives, families and community.

4th and 5th graders were asked to write and reflect on a woman who has helped or inspired them - someone who they respect and admire. This display is currently featured at the Claremore Museum of History. The reasons behind why these students are inspired by the women in their lives will melt your heart. Take some time this weekend and go check it out!

“If you live in Rogers County, the TSET team and BWRC would love for you to take about 10 minutes of your time to complete this survey. This is very important to determine the work we will be doing over the next 5 years. Thanks and Be Well!”
