Our 4th-grade students presented 'Rise and Shine' on Friday. As a Great Expectations Model School, we consistently learn new and exciting things each month. The expectation of the week was Expectation #7: 'We will encourage each other to do our best.'
Our Enriched Vocabulary word this month is 'Headway,' which means forward movement or progress.
It was a wonderful morning, and the 4th graders did a fantastic job!

Happy National Assistant Principals Day!
What better way to celebrate the amazing Mr. Mudd than by giving him a pie in the face!
As part of our Penny Wars at the Claremont Carnival last week, one person was to be given a pie in the face at Rise and Shine this morning. Mr. Mudd was the lucky winner! Not only is he a great sport, but he is also a wonderful Assistant Principal. We are thankful for all Mr. Mudd does here at Claremont and for his commitment to our students and their education!

Mrs. Ward's 1st-grade class had an impromptu 'flood drill.' Have you ever done a flood drill? Neither had Mrs. Ward's students. They were instructed to grab their whiteboards, sit crisscross applesauce on their desks, and get ready to paddle!
The drill was a success, and the students had a great laugh when Mrs. Ward said "April Fools"! Check out the smiles and unsure faces in the pictures!"
