3rd grade students are learning about Christmas around the world, and have "traveled" to Sweden and France! Students made Tomtens - Sweden's version of Santa, and Buche De Noel - a popular Christmas dessert in France!
We can't wait to see where else they will go!

Sometimes we just need a change of scenery..
4th grade students spent part of their day outside, working on their opinion writing in the beautiful weather we've been having.

What Comes Next?
Kindergarten students play a fun math game! To play, students roll the dice, count the dots, and then place a cube over the number that comes next. If they roll 2 dots they cover the number 3.

5th grade is learning all about graphs!
In an interesting and fun twist to learning about different types of graphs, Ms. Anderson had the class vote on "who wore it better: mullet edition" using a photo of Coach Gundy of OSU, a student in class, and a photo of Ms. Anderson and her self-made mullet as a child, and then together, they graphed the results!

1st graders practice fluency.
What is fluency, you ask?
Reading fluency is a child's ability to read a book or other text accurately, with a reasonable speed and appropriate expression. Fluency comes when a student does not have to stop and decode each word, but can focus their attention on what the story or text means.
