Mrs. Harrison's 4th graders had the chance to participate in a fun activity to brush up on their math skills in a "Find Someone Who" game. On the game board, students had to find someone in their classroom who can...
-skip count by 5's to 100
-has hair that is at least 5" long
-has read 15 or more books over the summer
-etc.
This activity was a fun way for students to get up on their feet and get to know each other a little better!

Every student learns best in different ways - some through hearing, some through seeing, some through doing, and many, a combination of the three.
Mrs. Peck teaches spelling words to her students and during the lesson, they are able to HEAR, SEE, and WRITE the word, giving each student the ability to learn in the way that works best for them.

3rd grade students in Mrs. Millsap's class are working on growth mindset - curating the ability to push past failures and continue making progress.
Mrs. Millsap read The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires and tasked students with building a free-standing tower that can support a bucket using only straws, a cup, yarn, tape and scissors. The bucket must be suspended and be able to hold weight.
Students used their critical thinking skills to plan out their design and then brought their designs to life and tested their weight bearing ability.
