ATTENTION!

Our kindergarten students have been learning about life cycles by observing tadpoles and ladybug larvae. At this point, all of the lady bugs have hatched, all but one tadpole have their hind legs, and their chicks have about a week to go until they hatch!

Resilience...
"It’s a skill that takes practice. “Resilience works like a muscle we can build through effort and repetition, and we want to keep our muscles strong and flexible so we can think of many ways to solve a problem,” Mary Alvord, a psychologist and author, tells Fagell. “At the core, resilience is the belief that while you can't control everything in your life, there are many aspects you can control, including your attitude.”
-Gosner, Edutopia
Here are 5 ways to help build resilience in children:
1. Set BRAVE goals.
2. Model learning from mistakes.
3. Encourage responsible risks.
4. Label difficult emotions.
5. Teach about resilience.

Anchor charts are powerful teaching tools for students, especially visual learners! They help students recognize learning goals, review concepts, and establish learning expectations.
