Kindergarten students had a fun afternoon today! They were able to watch Charlie Brown and have a grade wide dance party before sitting down to a fun snack!
4th Grade students in Mrs. Ramsey's WIN time group researched early America explorers, created their explorer and then presented what they learned to the entire 4th grade.
Students in Mrs. Keener’s music class practiced powwow dance steps and demonstrated Native American regalia in music class.

Claremore Public Schools is already using Family Zone to block inappropriate content and to identify red flag search terms from students. However, students do need access to sites like youtube for institutional purposes. Once on those sites students can be exposed to content that may be questionable. It is important that caregivers monitor students when they are on their devices.
As a parent or caregiver of our school district, you receive free access to the Family Zone Cyber Safety Hub, which includes articles, videos, courses, and more to help monitor and educate on various cyber threats, apps, etc.

My name is Torie Proctor. I teach 3rd grade. I have been in education for 5 years and this is my first year at Claremore Public Schools.
I attended Oklahoma State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Marshall. We have one dog, Sadie. We just moved to Claremore after living one year in Shawnee, OK. Being from Owasso, we enjoy being back with family, friends, and our church family. We love to travel, play games, hike, drink good coffee, and listen to audiobooks.
My hobbies include baking, creating watercolor art, trying out coffee shops, reading and being in nature.

Kindergarten students worked together to create structures during free time. Learning to work together is so important for Kindergartners as it prepares them for working with their classmates in the future!
Kindergartners play "What Comes Next." In this game, the student rolls the dice, and whatever number they land on, they cover up the number that comes next. For example, if a 1 is rolled, the student would cover up the 2. This covers a variety of skills: number recgonition, counting, and numeral order.

One of the 4th Grade WIN time groups has been researching explorers! This group of students spent time researching a specific explorer, brainstorming and planning for a presentation and getting to create their explorer! Students use butcher paper, markers, crayons, and a whole slew of other craft supplies to create. The goal is for them to look like the explorer they researched. These will be used for a visual in their presentations.
Yesterday was a GE Coaching Day! Staff began the day with cinnamon rolls from Mrs. Fay, and then several of our teachers were observed and coached in Great Expectations classroom practices.
It was a great day!
We are so thankful for our Mrs. Fulks. She goes above and beyond to be there for our students and staff at Claremont. She is always willing to lend a hand and is a team player!
