2nd graders love to read!! Students in Mrs. Johnston's class learned about check-out procedures and then practiced reading to self. Procedures are such an important part of the school day - setting expectations for everything from how to do things, to behavior.

Meet Mrs. Fulks.
You all know Mrs. Fulks as our 2022 District Teacher of the Year, but Mrs. Fulks wears more hats than just being a phenomenal EL teacher. Mrs. Fulks is also our site Tech Cadre member and works on all things technology at Claremont.
Give Mrs. Fulks a shout out in the comments - we so appreciate the work she does to not only troubleshoot our teachers devices, but our student devices as well!

When new centers are introduced in Pre-K, Mrs. Camber always models for the students what they are supposed to do in each center! Modeling is so important for setting procedures and expectations in advance.

3rd Grade teachers, Mrs. Millsap and Mrs. Proctor, have been bringing their classes together to reinforce student's phonics foundation using SLB or Structured Language Basics.
This curriculum provides instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, oral reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, handwriting and spelling. Its a phenomenal way to reinforce language basics for our students!

Meet Ms. Katt.
Katt is our building custodian. She works tirelessly to keep our building clean during the day - and all with a smile on her face.
We appreciate the work she does to make sure that our students always have a clean building to learn and play in. Give Ms. Katt a shout out in the comments - and let her know how much you appreciate all she does for Claremont!

The Bless the Teachers Ministry at Claremore Assembly of God sure BLESSED our teachers this week with lunch and dessert!
Not only does this ministry provide as many Rogers County schools as they can with lunch once a year, they also provide support for many of our Rogers County families at Christmas with an Angel Tree, and supply needed items for students to our schools!
Thank you, Bless the Teachers Ministry for loving on our Claremont teachers today! It was a wonderful treat!

3rd grade students in Mrs. Millsap's class worked on a project that focuses on a very important aspect of childhood: self-esteem. Self-esteem is liking yourself and believing in yourself, and as a class, students thought about what they liked most about themselves and wrote about it.
