Home of the Free Because of the Brave

Claremore High School students had the honor of participating in a special flag retirement ceremony this week at Claremore's American Legion. The Claremore NJROTC Corps of Cadets, along with the Zebra Band and Guard, came together to honor our nation’s symbol and those who have fought to protect it.

The ceremony began with the NJROTC presenting the colors, followed by a powerful performance of the National Anthem by the Zebra Band. When it was time to retire the worn and tattered flag, Cadets respectfully lowered Old Glory and replaced it with a brand new flag, flying high once again over Claremore.

CHS Band and NJROTC are proud to take part in this meaningful tradition—honoring our veterans, our flag, and the freedom they’ve defended. ❤️🤍💙

Our youngest Zebras dove into an ocean of fun with Stephen Fite’s “Goin’ on a Shark Hunt” interactive concert! 🦈🌊🎶

Students set sail on a high-energy adventure — singing, dancing, and learning about ocean habitats, waves, penguins, and even the scariest sea creature of all! 👀🐧

It was the perfect mix of music, movement, and discovery — making learning come alive above and below the surface!🐠

Mr. Levesque’s music classes have been having a blast learning about rhythm! Students are practicing how to keep a steady beat by singing this fun fall song and passing the pumpkin right on time. It’s a great way to make learning rhythm fun and engaging in elementary music!
