What a way to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day! 🧸🧸 One 3rd grader shared his person-sized teddy bear with his class! 🥰

5th grade put their investigation skills to the test! 🕵️🕵️‍♂️ Mrs. McGill’s and Mr. Cook’s classes are researching the different theories surrounding the mystery of Roanoke Island. Each group is creating a visual display to share and defend their theory with the class!

☀️Rise & Shine ☀️ Mrs. Russel's 5th graders have been learning about patterns. Their showcase this week was a fun & catchy tune, about patterns "Banana, banana, meatball!" 🎶 Way to go 5th graders! 🍌🍌🍝

🌟Celebrating Native American Heritage! 🌟 Our 5th graders had an incredible opportunity to learn about Native American heritage during Heritage Days! Students enjoyed playing traditional games and listening to incredible storytelling that brought history, culture and traditions to life.

Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. The labor movement created it in the late 19th century, and it became a federal holiday in 1894.

✨ A love for reading starts with a great story and a caring teacher. 📚❤️ Our kindergarten students were all ears as their teacher, Mrs Armbrister brought a story to life! Every page helped spark imagination, build vocabulary, and grow a lifelong love of reading.🌟📖 #WestsideZebras

While practicing procedures on the first day of school, Westside's Resource Officer Moree blended in (or tried to) with our 3rd graders! 👮‍♀️

One of Westside's favorites, Mr. McGuire, volunteers his time to water the flowers and plants in the flower beds in front of the school. 🏫 🌸

Claremore Public Schools aims to partner with parents and guardians to achieve our District goals for all students: to raise student achievement, close the achievement gap, provide educational equity, and ensure a safe educational environment.

One way we do this is through parent-teacher conferences. Although you can request a conference any time, the district schedules four evening dates each year for conferences.

FALL Parent-Teacher Conferences:
✅High School: Oct. 8 & Nov. 12, 2026
✅WRJH: Oct. 8 & Nov. 12, 2026
✅Elementary: Oct. 8 & 13, 2026

SPRING Parent-Teacher Conferences:
✅High School: Feb. 11 & March 9, 2027
✅WRJH: Feb. 11 & March 9, 2027
✅Elementary: March 4 & 9, 2027

Conferences will be by appointment with your child's teacher(s). You may select your appointment time(s) using myconferencetime.com. LINKS WILL BE LIVE 10 days before the conference dates and communicated by your child's school site.
