Mrs. Naegele's students did a team building/problem-solving activity this week. The leader was the only team member allowed to touch the puzzle pieces. The hard part- the leader had to keep their eyes CLOSED! The goal was for students to develop strategies for problem-solving, and develop the ability to communicate mathematically while working with a team. Great job and what a fun activity! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

In Mrs. Lane's English class, students are brainstorming for their personal narratives today. A personal narrative is a prose narrative relating personal experience usually told in first person; its content is nontraditional. "Personal" refers to a story from one's life or experiences. I'm sure some of these stories were very memorable! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

MEET THE TEACHER
It's been a b u s y week for our teachers and staff so far! Teachers reported back to school Monday, where they have been in trainings, getting their classrooms ready, and getting back in the groove! Today they did "Speed Conversations" where teachers were discussing questions about how they implement the Great Expectations practices. Everyone had one minute to discuss a question with the person across from them. When the minute was up, the outside circle moved, and they discussed the next question with their new partner. What a great way to learn new practices! #GEMODELSCHOOL #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
