Biztown time!!!!
Our 5th grades have been preparing for Biztown for months. Today they had the chance to apply for their jobs. We had several of our towns finest community leaders come and interview our students. I’m honestly not sure who had more fun!! The kids were so nervous but they did a great job!
Thank you to all of our helpers for taking time out of their day to come interview our students!
Our Mayor, Debbie Long even stayed after the interviews to talk to all the students running for Mayor of Biztown. She was able to give them tips on their Mayor speeches and they students were able to ask her questions also!

4th grade check in!!!!
#CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mr. D played a fun game with some of our 4th graders today.
The game is called sticky notes. It’s a way for them to learn about the notes on the treble clef. They throw a Velcro covered ball at a piece of felt and whatever line or space it lands on if they say the correct name of the note and they earn a point for their team. The game goes back-and-forth until we get a team wins by 2 points. Then the winning team gets the opportunity to throw a basketball. If they make their shot they each earn an m&m.
What a fun way to learn their music notes!

We are getting ready for Thanksgiving!!!!
Our 1st graders told us who they are Thankful for while our Pre-K friends disguised their Turkey so it won't get eaten!!!

It’s World Kindness Week!!!
Mrs. Basks visited several classes yesterday to talk about kindness. She read “A Little Spot of Kindness.” She also shared a sticker with each child representing the spot in the story. She told each student to look at their spot and it would remind them to always be kind.
Mrs. Basks also had a kindness activity with each class.
