Claremore Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 18th, due to the winter weather advisory, dropping temperatures, and road conditions. While we always strive to keep schools open, safety remains our top priority.
After-school activities, athletics, and competitive events are canceled. Coaches and program directors will provide updates on specific activities through Rooms on your CPS mobile app.
This will be an official “snow day,” so your assignment includes being safe, staying warm, and making a memory! Make it “A Great Day To Be A Zebra.”
District leaders will continue to monitor the forecast and evaluate conditions, and decisions will be made on a day-by-day basis. Updates will be on all CPS platforms (Website, Mobile App, Facebook, & Email) and local TV stations. Download the app on Android or iPhone. Make sure your contact information is up to date on your parent portal.

Students actively participated in various multicultural activities designed to celebrate and explore diverse cultural backgrounds. Through these interactive experiences, they gained a deeper appreciation for different traditions, customs, and perspectives. Additionally, they had the opportunity to connect with representatives from various student organizations, learning about the clubs and groups available at TCC that support cultural awareness, academic interests, and personal development. Furthermore, they explored a range of programs and services offered by the college, such as academic support, career counseling, and student engagement initiatives, helping them navigate their educational journey and build a sense of community on campus.

The love bug was in the air earlier this week as our amazing secretaries got into the Valentine’s spirit for group dress-up day! ❤️✨
A friendly reminder: If Valentine’s gifts are sent to the school, students can only pick them up from the front office as they are leaving for the day. Plus, for safety reasons, no glass, sticks, or balloons are allowed on the buses.
Let’s keep the love going while following the rules! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️🎉

🎉 WINGS OF GOLD! Congratulations to Navy JROTC Cadets Corman Weber and Taylor Phillips! 🎉
Last week, they achieved an incredible milestone by earning their FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot certification!
To fly drones professionally, they dedicated countless hours to studying airspace regulations and safety protocols before passing the FAA-proctored exam.
As a result of their achievement, they’ve earned Gold Wings for their uniforms and the right to wear the official flight suit - a true mark of their aviation expertise! 🚁✨
Their commitment and skill are truly inspiring!

Students who interviewed with Northeast Tech when they were here in January were given a slip of paper with the date and campus they would be having their second interview. Students interviewing at the Claremore campus will meet at the front of the school at 8:15 Wednesday morning and students interviewing at the Pryor campus will meet up front at 8:15 on Thursday morning. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Grace

Mrs. Bright's Physical Science class recently began their unit on atoms, ions, and isotopes. Although these concepts exist at the atomic level, students brought them to life using models to construct atoms. By adjusting the number of neutrons and electrons, they explored how atomic mass and charge influence the formation of ions and isotopes, making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging.

How Sick Is Too Sick For School?
Tis the season in Oklahoma - sniffling, sneezing, coughing, headache, fever, tummy aches, nausea, etc.
We miss our students when absent, but sometimes they need to recover at home; how do you make that decision? CPS encourages following the Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines. These guidelines will help the child recover and protect against the spread of illnesses to other students and staff.
Remember, students/staff should only return to school after being fever-free, vomiting or diarrhea-free for 24 hours without medication.
