This week Student Council is hosting our very first school wide kindness week!Ā There will beĀ activitiesĀ announced each day and dress up days as well.Ā The purpose of this week is to focus on spreading love, kindness and lifting one another up!Ā Tuesday-"love is in the air"-wear white if you're single, pink if it's complicated or red if you'reĀ taken.Ā Wednesday-"brighten someone's day"-wear neon.Ā Thursday-"kindnessĀ is cool''-wear your kindness week t shirt or wear blue.Ā Friday-"kindness wins"-jersey day.Ā

Attention Juniors!! The college visit to NSU in Tahlequah that was postponed from November is coming up on February 22! Even if you filled out a permission slip before, you need to fill out a new one!!! The new permission forms are available in the counseling office or you can get one from your English or History Teacher. They are due Feb 16th.
There will be an AP Biology Review Session every Tuesday morning from 7:00am-8:00am in CHS room 903 starting February 21st and running through May 9th. The AP Biology Mock Exam will be April 30th from 1-4 in room 903.
Robotics Teams Continue to Excel
The results are in and our CHS teams brought home the most awards at their recent Vex Robotics Competition in Muskogee.
CHS
9142B and 9142W placed 1st and 3rd in qualifications and went on to win the tournament.
9142B - Reagan Hofstetter and Chloe Reedy won the tournament and the excellence award.
9142W - Elizabeth Reedy, Alex Moore, Kynden Stone, and Izzy Schweitzer won both the tournament and the design award.
9142Y - Caroline Lee and Zaber Matin placed 9th in qualifications
VEX Robotics is educational robotics for everyone. It allows CPS to educate and inspire the STEM problem solvers of tomorrow! Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving among groups. We are building the foundations for the future. CPS has initiated STEM and robotics into all elementary grade levels. This early exposure will build their general knowledge and prepare them for the rigorous STEM classes at the secondary level.
Due to P/T Conferences, math tutoring has been cancelled for Thursday, 2/9/23.

The Oklahoma Caring Van will provide FREE immunizations for children at the Claremore enrollment center March 21st & 23rd from 10a - 12p.
A parent/guardian must complete the required paperwork. Services will be provided to children who are uninsured, Medicaid eligible, or American Indian.

ASVAB - The ASVAB is an aptitude test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. It's a military entrance exam and is also used for career exploration and planning. It is being offered at CHS in the library on February 7th at 8:30 am. If you are interested in taking this exam please sign up at the counseling office.

Congratulations to the following students for winning gold medals in this year's regional Scholastic Art Competition: Adele Wilson, Emily Evans, Julie Jones, and Abril Flores. Also congratulations to the following students for winning silver medals and honorable merits: Emily Edwards, Madison Ferrel, Andrew Mcneill, Rachel Schulze, and Adele Wilson. Gold medal recipients will move on to a national round of judging to compete against 250,000 of the best artworks from across the country.
