Students in AP English Language and Composition created a "Portrait of a Speaker," analyizng how different types of writers create their works. Since rhetoric is the art of persuasion (and rhetoric is everywhere), the students were allowed to choose anything from songs to albums to speeches to short stories to movies. The result is a variety of works representing the student's diverse interests!

When the Markers Space turns into a mini museum of Oklahoma’s mammals, we get a little excited! Ms.Golbek’s Zoology class is getting up close with some of our state’s native mammals—studying skulls, pelts, and adaptations that tell each species’ story. Special thanks Mr. Gibbs and Roger’s State University for working in tandem to provide our students hands on learning opportunities!

How Sick Is Too Sick For School?

Tis the season in Oklahoma - sniffling, sneezing, coughing, headache, fever, tummy aches, nausea, etc.

We miss our students when they are absent, and we know attendance matters, but sometimes they need to recover at home. How do you make that decision? CPS encourages following the Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines. These guidelines will help the child recover and prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff.

In AP Euro, students put Louis XVI on trial in an intense courtroom drama! With 2 prosecutors, 2 defenders, 6 witnesses each, a jury, and court reporters, everyone researched their characters deeply and crafted powerful testimonies. After a gripping trial, both classes found Louis XVI guilty.

But the drama didn’t end there—Robespierre then rose to accuse Marie Antoinette and two others, sentencing them to execution and ushering in the Reign of Terror. History came alive in a truly unforgettable way!
