#CPSZEBRAPRIDE

My name is Chancy Crabb and I teach Kindergarten. I have been in education for two years, both of those being with CPS. I attended Rogers State University where I received a Bachelors of Science Degree.
I am married and have two children. My husband Joe works in sales and our children, Jaxon and Savanna are in 2nd grade and Pre-K, respectively. We love to spend time together as a family outside and also love Disney movie nights.
I love to spend time with my family. My favorite hobby is reading, and my favorite quote is: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

Today is National 4th Graders Day! Can we say we have the BEST 4th graders around! We have the best 4th grade teachers as well!
Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. Schell, you work tirelessly to make sure our students are engaged and that they are learning! We are thankful for your dedication to your students and to Claremont!

"Once a student, ALWAYS a student."
Our teachers love it when former students come by to say hello! One of our 5th grade students just had to some see her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bradfield, on her first day back to school!

Zebra families, please don't forget to have your students bring their mask, water bottle and fully charged device to school every day!

January 9th is Law Enforcement Day, and we want to share that we are so thankful for the men and women of CPD who serve our community every day. We are also thankful for our School Resource Officers - who work to make sure that our school sites continue to be safe places for teachers and students.

Congratulations to the CPS District Teacher of the Year Finalists...
🥇 Mrs. Andrea Ratcliff teaches Art at Westside Elementary.
🥇 Mrs. Karin Howell teaches 2nd grade at Claremont Elementary.

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you'll ever know.” — A.A. Milne
It's no secret that we believe that Claremont's teachers are the best out there. Our educators work so hard to meet the needs of every student who walks into their classroom. Our teachers - they have grit. They go above and beyond every single day to be a light, a landing place, a source of comfort and yes, a teacher to their students.
Claremont teachers, know that you are appreciated. You are cared for and we believe that you are the best of the best! Also know that you are braver, you are stronger, you are smarter and you are loved. By your admin, by your fellow staff members, by your students and by your community.

This week was such a great week! We are so glad to be back in the classroom with our students and can't wait to see them again Monday! Have a great weekend, Zebra family!

I have two children, Colter and Hartley Jo. Outside of school we love to do rodeo!
I love Claremont because of staff that is like family.

Today is National Technology Day! In a world where we expect instantaneous access to information and entertainment, technology is crucial. We are thankful to be able to put devices into the hands of every single one of our students and therefore open them up to a world of possibilities with their learning.

Good evening Claremont families. Please listen to the NEW Distance Learning Guidelines. Towards the end of the 2nd quarter we had students distance learning on a voluntary basis. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter this will not be allowed. If you are NOT comfortable with traditional in person school, then you need to enroll in our virtual program. Please call the office by January 13 to change to our virtual option. We are very excited to begin the new semester and appreciate your support.

Our PreK students love to play with playdough! Not only is playdough fun and entertaining, it helps develop small motor skills in our youngest Zebras!

A picture is worth a thousand words. We hear it all the time. It can be especially helpful when communicating in our digital world to show a picture of something rather than typing it out. Or, maybe there is a certain point to be made by saving a portion of what is on the computer screen. Using the Windows Snip & Sketch application will help accomplish that.
This #TechTipTuesday will demonstrate the many ways Microsoft’s Snip & Sketch can be used to capture images of what is on a computer screen and shared, posted, or saved for later reference.
