Fridays with Frazier moves from COVID and computers to the magic that happens in the classroom.
This week we feature Mrs. Laurie Titsworth’s Pre-K class at Westside Elementary School, where they incorporated the magic of the season to teach letters, sounds, reinforce colors, introduce graphing, all tied together with a bow and a book.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Today marks the first day of a long holiday break.
May you and your loved ones make the most of this time together during this Christmas season. Many of us are looking forward to sending 2020 on its way and ringing in a new year filled with hope in 2021.
We will see you again when that school bell rings on January 4th.

Our 5th graders use their devices for every subject. Here, one of our students are working on math!
This is why it is so important that students bring their devices to school, that they are fully charged and that they are only used at home for school purposes.
These laptops are used every day in instruction!

Claremont Teachers wore their Ugly (and cute) Christmas sweaters yesterday! The building sure felt festive!

My name is Vona Cardwell. I have been in education for 12 years, with all 12 of those being at CPS. I have taught grades 4-8 and am now the innovation lab facilitator at both Claremont and Roosa. I attended Northeastern State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I am married and have a daughter who is in pharmacy school. I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family. I absolutely love the positivity, friendliness and collaboration among the teachers and staff at Claremont.

Don't forget about this awesome opportunity!

2nd graders in Mrs. Howells class completed a science experiment. Their questions: "What happens when baking soda and vinegar combine? What if we put it in a bottle with a balloon over the opening?"
Students learned that when vinegar and baking soda are combined, it creates gas that can inflate a balloon.

This holiday season, teachers and students at Claremont wanted to give back! Each of our classes adopted 1-2 officers from Claremore Police Department to shower them with their favorite things. On Tuesday, our classes were able to present these to the officers. It was so much fun!
