At Claremont Elementary, we know that taking care of our hearts and minds is just as important as learning our ABCs and 123s. Today we join the world in recognizing World Mental Health Day — a reminder that mental health is a universal human right.
Our wonderful school counselor, Mrs. C, helps our students build confidence, kindness, and coping skills every day. She’s always here to listen and support both students and families.
To explore resources or learn more about how we support mental wellness at Claremont, visit Mrs. C’s page here:

Let’s keep spreading compassion, understanding, and Zebra love — today and every day.

Our 5th graders hit the court for a fun review game of Trasketball! They teamed up to answer questions about common and proper nouns, earning shots at the basket for each correct answer.
It was a close game, but in the end… the Pumas took the win!

This time, “I Am Superman” was the winning book!
Just look at how happy our student is with their prize—we love Winning Books!

Today was a sweet start to our subtraction unit!
Our students kicked things off with one of their favorite activities — Eat My Math. With a handful of M&Ms, they practiced building subtraction fluency while enjoying a tasty snack.
This fun and memorable activity helps make math exciting, and we’ll be bringing it back several times throughout the year!

Our students and staff brought the energy with cheers, chants, and nonstop school spirit. It was the perfect way to kick off Homecoming and show off that Zebra pride under the lights.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the field to celebrate, cheer, and make memories together.

October 2nd was National Custodian Day, and we are so grateful for our amazing custodian, Ms. Rubi! From keeping our halls sparkling to making sure our classrooms are safe and welcoming, you are a true hero behind the scenes. Claremont wouldn’t shine without you!
A big thank-you to our PTO and our Sunshine Committee for the thoughtful gifts that helped us celebrate and show our appreciation. We are so lucky to have a community that takes care of those who take care of us.

Our littlest Zebras marched into Homecoming Week with BIG camo energy today!
From tiny boots to camo tees, Pre-K showed us that school pride starts early.
These kiddos may be hard to spot in camo, but their smiles make them stand out every time.

Our Zebras really blended in for Camo Day!
From head to toe, our students and staff showed that you can’t hide Zebra spirit.
Whether in camo hats, shirts, or full gear, Claremont showed up in style and proved that no matter the pattern, our stripes always shine through.
Tomorrow’s dress-up theme: Cruising with Spirit Colors!
Let’s pack the halls with red and white and keep our Zebra pride rolling strong.

Our 5th graders are diving into the historical fiction novel Blood on the River!
This powerful story connects directly to our social studies standards as students learn about early explorers and the first settlement in the New World. Through this novel study, students are not only strengthening their reading skills but also experiencing history in an engaging, meaningful way.
We love seeing our Zebras make connections between literature and history!

Homecoming 2025 is off to an awesome start!
Today was College Game Day and our students showed off their team spirit—from the RSU Hillcats to the OU Sooners and OSU Cowboy and more!
We had so much fun!
Reminder: Tomorrow is Hawaiian Day!
Wear your bright shirts, floral prints, and school-appropriate accessories.

Our 4th graders went on a Book Tasting adventure!
Students got the chance to “sample” different genres — from mystery to fantasy to nonfiction and more. Just like trying new foods, they explored new stories and discovered what they like best.
This fun and engaging activity is a great way to spark a love for reading and help students branch out into new book choices. We love seeing their excitement as they “taste test” the world of books!
