Claremore Homecoming Week is Almost Here! 🏈🎉
We’re hitting the road with fun dress-up days leading up to Homecoming 2025!

Monday, Sept. 29 – Trip to College Wear gear from your favorite college!
Tuesday, Sept. 30 – Trip to the Beach Beachwear, sunglasses, hats, or Hawaiian shirts.
Wednesday, Oct. 1 – Go Off Road – Camo Wear camo to blend in on this adventure!
Thursday, Oct. 2 – Cruisin’ with Spirit Colors Wear red, white, or your favorite Zebra gear!
Friday, Oct. 3 – Road to Victory Show your Zebra pride with Homecoming shirts or gear!

They proudly recited the Preamble to the Constitution for the entire school and our guests. To make it even more meaningful, they held up signs showing the preamble rewritten in their own words.
This powerful moment reminded us of the importance of student voice, hard work, and creativity. We couldn’t be more proud of our 4th graders for shining so bright! What a wonderful way to celebrate the Constitution at #Claremont!
This program encourages students to branch out, explore new genres, and step outside their usual reading choices. Plus, the surprise prizes (which change monthly!) make it even more fun.
A big round of applause to Ms. Browning for creating such a rewarding and exciting way to celebrate reading!
Looks like "The Candy Smash" was the winner this time!
Families, students, and community members are invited to meet at the First Baptist Church parking lot (corner of Will Rogers and Florence) and walk together to school. The event promotes safety, physical activity, and neighborhood connections.
Parents - Join us for coffee after the walk provided by Claremont PTO!

This is the highest level of recognition in the Certified Healthy program and it shows our ongoing commitment to supporting healthy choices and a positive environment for our students, staff, and families.

Our Claremont Zebras had a blast yesterday — creating, building, and letting their imaginations shine. From wild creatures to colorful masterpieces, their creativity was on full display!
We loved celebrating National Play-Doh Day!
Play-Doh isn’t just fun — it’s important for young children, too! It helps build fine motor skills, strengthens hand muscles for future writing, sparks creativity, and encourages imaginative play.
What a perfect way to celebrate learning through play!

This time, our first graders earned a sidewalk chalk recess! They showed responsibility, respect, and teamwork, and we are so proud of them.

This month’s newsletter includes a Literacy Loop section that focuses on phonemic awareness—the foundation of strong reading skills.
When you take time to read to and with your child every day, you’re building vocabulary, boosting comprehension, and creating special moments together. Even just 10–15 minutes a day can make a lasting impact!
We love seeing our teachers and students sharing books and we encourage families to keep the love of reading growing at home too!
We loved watching their excitement as they explored, practiced, and grew more confident using them. It’s amazing to see these early skills come to life and set the stage for all the creativity ahead!
