Students love the manipulatives in the library! Mrs. Troyer added several different manipulatives this year to include during library time. Many students got to play with these during the testing season while waiting to test, or once finished.

"What I bring to the teaching profession is a direct result of the people who taught me. My perspective is one voice in a collective. I am able to shed light on differences between cultures and offer strategies to help our English Language Learners perform at high levels. In my unique position as a pull-out teacher, I am constantly gaining ideas from visiting all of the classrooms around the building. I am also in a position to notice opportunities for improvement that affect the building as a whole. Just as we have culturally diverse students, teachers benefit from diverse perspectives in our teaching community to increase understanding and maximize our educational impact. I strive to add a positive voice to the diversity discussion."

May 6th is Wishbone Day!
Wishbone day - or the International Day of OI is celebrated on May 6th each year. It is an international awareness day for osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), which is also known as brittle bone disease.
One of our Claremont students has OI, and is "fragile but fiesty." Several students and staff members wore yellow to show love and support for our student/friend.
