2nd graders in Mrs. Howell's class created compliment cupcakes for each one of their class members this year.
Each student will take the time as a part of their rotations to write kind words down for one of their classmates. At the end of the week, this student gets to take home a poster with all of the compliments from their classmates on it.

Second Grade WIN time focused on the process of researching and recording information in an organized way. After their WIN team chose a continent, they began constructing questions that they would like to research pertaining to that continent. Then every day they would seek to find the answers through an online kid encyclopedia and EPIC books. After finding their answers they recorded it on their travel brochures!

Reading aloud to children gives them the opportunity to try on the language and experience of others. It helps them make connections with their lives, and informs their view of themselves and others.

Staff members were treated to a special treat Friday morning - a massive charcuterie board!
As staff ate together, we talked about the major WINS of this year. The things we are thankful for, and the things we accomplished. Then, as PLC teams, we were challenged to spread that joy throughout the district in the form of kind words and messages to those who had impacted us this school year.
