From classroom rotations, to independent research, to WIN time, our classroom teachers use devices in every aspect of their learning! That is why it is so important to get devices in our student's hands!
Student devices are still being handed out to students who have a protection plan signed and paid for. To ensure that your student is able to receive their school device, please complete the following:

5th grade went on an adventure in Ms. Anderson's class with Survival Island! Students were given the challenge: you're stranded on an island, what 4 items do you take with you?
Along the way, a "hiccup" was introduced: the island is sinking, its inhabited by King Kong or zombies who only come out at night, there is a dangerous storm every 8 hours...
In this project students had to work together in groups using their critical thinking skills to come up with how they would survive the island.
What a creative lesson!

On this Wellness Wednesday, we want to talk about the one thing we never get enough of (right parents?)...sleep.
Did you know that the National Sleep Foundation has recommended hours of sleep for each age? Getting a good night's sleep has so many benefits, including wellness, brain function, and even behavior.
Check out the graphic from the National Sleep Foundation below. Is your child getting enough sleep? Are you?
Go ahead and use this as an excuse to put your kiddo (or yourself) to bed a little earlier tonight!

Kindergarten students spend time in centers working on learning through play. Learning through play is one of the best ways for a child to develop a sense of adventure and nurture their imagination.
What do you think these Kindergarten students are imagining as they play?
