3rd Graders learn about beat in Mrs. Keener's music class. Students clapped with the beat to a Christmas song.

Our very own Mrs. Camber had a birthday this week, and her sweet Pre-K students made cards for her, with the help of Mrs. Smith - our Pre-K Para. They were so excited to celebrate with Mrs. Camber and eager to create something just for her.

December 17th is RSU Gameday at Claremont! Claremont students will be treated to a classroom watch party and snacks by RSU basketball! A huge thank you to our Partners in Education, RSU and RCB Bank!

My name is Bonnie Bear. I am a para at Claremont and I work with one specific student, so I follow her each year to her new grade. I have been in education for 43 years, 12 of those years with CPS.
I attended NEO A&M and received a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I am married and have two children, Caroline and Ben. I enjoy reading and gardening.
My favorite quote is "finish each day and be done with it."

1st grade students really love going to Mrs. Francis's art class!

Kindergarten students had a blast making their own Playdough creations!

Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Pearl Harbor day is observed annually on December 7th to remember and honor the 2,403 United States citizens who were killed in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

Grant Patrol on the roll today! Two of our very own received grants from the Claremore Public Schools Foundation today! Congratulations, Mrs. Halbrook and the 1st grade teachers and Mrs. Urbonas!

3rd grade prepared in advance for our distance learning day! Each week, teachers take time on Thursdays to prepare students for what they will be doing on Friday! This is why it is so important that students come to school with their devices - and they are fully charged.

What's more fun than playing with your food?
2nd grade students got to do just that in Mrs. Francis' art class! Students were given plates of fruity cereal to thread into necklaces - and most enjoyed them as their afternoon snack later in the day.

1st grade students made bead bracelets in Mrs. Francis's art class. This activity allowed the students extra work in letter identification and small motor skills!

My name is Lindsey Wilson. I teach Pre-K. I have been in education for 2 years and have been at CPS for both of those years. I have been married 15 years to my husband Jared. We have a son, Eli, in 8th grade at the JR High. Our daughter Mira is in 2nd grade here at Claremont. Also can’t forget our two dogs, Justice and Maggie.
I love to spend time with my family - hiking together and doing crafts with my daughter.
My favorite quote is:
"Decide what to be and go be it." -The Avett Brothers

Kindergarten students work hard on their CVC words.
A CVC word is made up of a consonant, vowel, and consonant sound. When a vowel is followed by a consonant, it is a closed syllable and makes the vowel say its sound. Cat is an example of a CVC word
This is an important skill for Kindergarteners!
