Mrs. Ward's 1st-grade class had an impromptu 'flood drill.' Have you ever done a flood drill? Neither had Mrs. Ward's students. They were instructed to grab their whiteboards, sit crisscross applesauce on their desks, and get ready to paddle!
The drill was a success, and the students had a great laugh when Mrs. Ward said "April Fools"! Check out the smiles and unsure faces in the pictures!"

The 5th-grade students from Claremont toured Will Rogers Junior High this week in preparation for fall enrollment. They were welcomed by the CHS Zebra Band and received information about various aspects of the school they will attend next fall! It was an exciting experience to explore the junior high and learn about the elective options available.

Today is the day! We are excited to see everyone tonight at the Carnival!

We've had a few zebra sightings around the school lately! Our students have enjoyed seeing the zebra in the halls and love to give high-fives and hugs!

Mrs. Ward's 1st-grade class has been diving into the world of measuring. Students used blocks to measure their shoes, hands, and even their notebooks! These hands-on experiences help students really grasp the concepts being taught.

We are only two days away from our Spring Carnival! For more information on this exciting event, please contact the school.

Claremont 5th-grade students hosted our weekly Rise and Shine. They shared with us their 5th-grade precepts. Students recited their favorite quotes, inspiring us all. Great Job, 5th -grade!

As we prepare to return to school on Monday, March 25th, we want to remind you that CPS will be closed for an extended holiday weekend on Friday, March 29th.
This is no April Fool's joke; school will hop right back into session on April 1st, ready to finish the school year strong.

"It's a brand new day, and I'm ready to run and play!" Mrs. Kinzer's Kindergarten class smiled and danced their way through their Rise and Shine performance. They even taught us how to say "Good morning" in several different languages! Buenos días! Bom dia! Good morning!

Mrs. Meeker's 5th-grade class went leprechaun hunting last week! Check out the cool traps they created and see what they caught!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Leading up to spring break, we've had a lot of fun! We found some strange clovers on the playground, celebrated several birthdays, and set some traps to see if we could catch any leprechauns. Stay tuned to see if we caught any leprechauns, but in the meantime, enjoy these wonderful clover pictures brought to you by our second graders. Oh, and also a picture of Mrs. Henson celebrating her 40th birthday early. She's a St. Patrick's Day baby!

Claremont's own Loki Morris has been selected as a finalist in this year's Future Chefs Culinary Competition! Loki will represent Claremont on March 27th in the district-wide competition. Good luck, Loki! Claremont is rooting for you and is proud of you!

A few years back, Claremont and Roosa were awarded a grant through our amazing CPS foundation, giving our 5th graders the opportunity to be a part of robotics!
They meet weekly at their own schools, but recently both schools had the great fortune of going to visit the CHS STEM building where Roosa and Claremont worked side by side with each other AND some of our award winning CHS robotics teams!
Just one more reason Claremore Schools are great: the way we come together is absolutely unmatched!
