Students kicked off their hockey unit and are LOVING it!

One of the skills they’re working on is striking an object with a long-handled implement, and hockey is the perfect way to build coordination, control, and teamwork.

So much fun + so much learning happening in our gym!

Last Friday at Rise & Shine, we were blessed to have Mrs. Millsap’s class lead our assembly — and they did an incredible job!

Students shared what they love most about Claremont, and their answers were the sweetest reminder of why we are so fortunate to be part of this school family. They highlighted their amazing teachers, the friendships they’ve built, and even their favorite subjects to learn each day. Hearing their gratitude and pride in our school was so special.

We also recognized students who participated in Circle the State with Song — what an accomplishment! Their hard work and dedication truly shine.

And a BIG congratulations to one of our 3rd graders who received a GRIT Award — WAY TO GO! We are so proud of the perseverance, character, and determination our students show every day.

Claremont is a special place because of the people in it — and Friday was a beautiful reminder of that.

Officer Hagen does so much more than keep our campus safe — he builds relationships, offers a listening ear, encourages our students, and is a positive presence consistently.

Whether he’s helping solve problems or jumping in to support staff, he does it all with kindness and dedication.

Our elementary is better because of him. We are so grateful for the hard work, heart, and protection he provides our school family each day!

We are incredibly grateful to Claremore First for the beautiful Valentine’s Day meal they provided for our staff.

Our Claremont administration team had the honor of serving the meal to our staff in a candlelit setting with soft music playing — creating a peaceful, special moment in the middle of a busy season. Being served and celebrated in that way made our staff feel truly appreciated. Thank you to Mrs. Fay and Mrs. Brogan for always jumping in to make our staff feel loved.

Claremore First continually shows up for our schools with generosity and kindness. Their willingness to invest in and encourage our educators speaks volumes about their heart for this community. We are so thankful for their partnership and for a staff that pours into students with dedication and love each and every day.

After three snow days, it felt so good to come together last week for a night of skating, laughter, and school spirit. Students, families, and staff showed up ready to roll, and the smiles said it all.

What a fun way to reconnect, burn off some energy, and celebrate being back together after the weather kept us home.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the night such a success — we loved seeing our school community having so much fun!

This fall, our third graders had the opportunity to visit the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, where they learned all about Will Rogers—a roper, comedian, actor, and writer who truly loved people.

Students explored his life through artifacts, famous quotes, and stories that highlighted how humor, curiosity, and caring for others can make a lasting impact. It was a fun and inspiring trip that helped students connect history to everyday kindness and reminded us all how simple acts can make a big difference.
