5th Graders in Ms. Myers class work together on a teambuilding activity. The objective: using only paperclips, get "tom" into a life vest and back into the boat. REMINDER - In honor of the Labor Day holiday, CPS will be closed on Monday, September 5th. "Before the reward, there must be labor. You plant before you harvest. You sow in tears before you reap joy." Ralph Ransom Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.
