5th graders in Mrs. Hink's class are studying King George the Third. She says: "No taxation without representation candy simulation: my green table is my parliament (they don't pay taxes), I have 2 students going around collecting my skittle taxes. And everyone else is a colonist, and are being taxed by the teacher (King George the 3rd). This gives the students and ideas of what it was like to be a colonist and why they became so angry with King George and the meaning behind 'No taxation without representation'"

Happy St. Patty's day, Westie Family! Don't forget to wear green so you don't get pinched!! 🍀🍀 Did you know? According to folklore, mischievous leprechauns would pinch anyone they could see. Wearing green is said to make you invisible to them- so if you forget to wear green, expect some pinches! 🍀😆
