🎨 Mrs. Williams's class had a blast learning about the Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, California this week! 🌟 This amazing organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 and continues to empower artists with disabilities by providing an art studio where they can create and share their incredible work with the world. 🌎 To celebrate the anniversary, our students embraced their creativity and crafted black glue watercolor art pieces, inspired by the talented artists at Creative Growth! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🏈PLAYERS OF THE WEEK🏈 Boston Cape is our 7th grade POTW. Boston is deserving of this award because he had the toughest role on defense for this week's game. Our defense scheme was changed the day of and was entirely different from normal. Boston Cape did a great job of excelling in his role that we threw at him and had frequent tackles for loss throughout the game. Brayden Roberts is our 8th grade player of the week. Brayden made the most of his opportunity later in the game when he came in and on his first 4 plays he made 3 tackles and an interception. Brayden was ready when his number was called and earned himself player of the week as the 8th grade Zebras won 28-0 against Adair ! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Simmonds' classes are working in stations to learn how to be safe in the science lab 👨‍🔬🧪🔬 Today in class, students took a hands-on approach to learning about safety in the science lab. They were divided into groups and rotated through different stations where they learned about the proper use of equipment, how to handle chemicals, and what to do in case of an emergency. It was so much fun to explore the different activities and to see science come to life in a safe and controlled environment. Students can’t wait to put their new knowledge to use in our next lab experiment! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
