Our next class pet is a chubby little goldfish who doesn't have a name! "Fish" lives in Mrs. Neighbors' class and loves to swim around the tank watching the students. We are hopeful he is given a name next year, although "Fish" does have a nice ring to it!

Our Principals spent three valuable days at the CCOSA conference, honing their leadership skills and staying up to date on the latest educational best practices. CCOSA is a non-profit organization that helps Oklahoma school administrators through professional development. It provides training, legislative support, and member services. It also brings together different groups of people to improve schools and make sure their needs are understood.

Mrs. Breen's art classes began a BIG project this past year. They painted one of the cut-through hallways in the 6th grade wing. After several months of drawing, painting and working very hard, it looks AMAZING! Check out the before and after pics! We want them to paint all the bare walls now!

Our next class pet is Edison! 🐢 Edison lives in Mrs. Simmonds' class and has a very special bond with all her students. They take him outside to get sunshine and they bring him lettuce to snack on. He's even been known to walk the halls in the 6th grade wing when he sneaks out of his class!

What do we do during the summer months with no students? We make WRJH look its best, thanks to our maintenance crew! They are removing the old desks in the science labs and putting in new tables! They are also fixing all the breaks/holes/tears in the building. We are so grateful they are getting the building ready for another school year!

Our next Motivational Monday highlights Mr. Worthington. Mr. Worthington is our assistant principal. What motivates him to be the best principal he can be is that he finds motivation in making a meaningful difference in the lives of the students and community they serve. The next pet in our weekly class pet series is an axolotl named Piers. 🦎 An axolotl, also known as the Mexican walking fish, is an amphibian that's native to the waters near Mexico City. Students not only get to see an awesome pet, they get to learn all about it!

THROWBACK THURSDAY
