For Math Awareness Month, Mr. Borntreger's 8th grade pre-algebra classes practiced their expression skills in a fun way...by solving a murder! Students were given values for multiple variables and were tasked with "plugging in" the values to evaluate 12 clues. Practicing math and developing strong sleuthing techniques...you may be looking at future detectives!🕵🏼♀️

‼STATE TESTING BEGINS APRIL 15‼
•Be sure your student gets a good night's sleep, eats a good breakfast, and comes ready to test•
If you need to pick up your child during school, and they are in an active testing session, they will need to finish that session. If a student leaves mid-session, the test becomes invalid. If you have any questions regarding when your child is testing, please email their teacher or call the front office at 918-923-4205.

Our staff dressed up for Underground Spirit Week! Underground Spirit Week is a fun little concept where the teachers and staff participate in a themed dress-up week without telling the students about it beforehand. So the students are left to figure out what's going on and why all the adults are dressed up in weird outfits. It's a bit like a secret party that's happening right under the students' noses! We had so much fun!

It's MATH AWARENESS MONTH! ➕➖➗ All month we will highlight our AMAZING math classes!
After creating their own scenarios and using problem solving skills, Mr. Borntreger's Algebra 1 classes were ready to present them to the class. They created posters and slides to use to present their inequalities. What a great life learning lesson - to speak in a public setting!

Our newly organized clothing closet and food pantry are looking awesome! WRJH counselors are dedicated to providing essential resources for our students, and the food pantry and clothing closet are a great help. The food pantry will ensure that no child goes hungry while they're at school, offering a variety of nutritious options. We believe that access to proper clothing and food should never be a barrier to learning. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where students can thrive.

Shout out to Mr. Borntreger's Algebra I class for demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills and creativity! The students applied high-level math to real-life situations by creating their own scenarios and solving two-step compound inequalities. By tackling these inequalities, they were able to determine the minimum and maximum numbers necessary for achieving specific goals and targets.
Wow! What a great lesson for math- and life!

❗Attention 8th grade parents-THIS IS TOMORROW NIGHT❗
Please read the following message regarding Claremore High School enrollment →
We want to inform you about significant changes coming to CHS next school year. To help facilitate a smooth transition, we have adjusted our annual ZAP enrollment night on March 27. Instead of the enrollment night, this evening will now serve as a traditional fourth-quarter Parent-Teacher Conference and Parent Meetings. Parent Meetings for Graduating Classes 2026-2029: March 27 in the PAC.
To ensure parents receive important information regarding upcoming changes to scheduling, graduation plans, and the enrollment process, Parent Meetings will be held in the PAC at the following times:
5:00 - 6:00 PM
6:30 - 7:30 PM
Both meetings are open to all grade levels (incoming freshmen through seniors); the same information will be presented at each session. Two-time slots are available to accommodate various schedules.
If you are unable to attend, a recording of the meeting will be available on the CHS website by 3:30 PM on Friday, March 28.
❗Why Attendance is Crucial❗ It is extremely important that parents/guardians attend one of these meetings, as we will discuss: Key changes to the school schedule for the 2025-2026 school year Graduation plan options for students Course offerings and the enrollment process.
At the end of the presentation, a QR code will be provided for parents/guardians to submit questions. Our administration will compile an FAQ document to address these questions and share it via email and on our website.
We appreciate your partnership in your child’s education and look forward to seeing you on March 27!
