Science can be delicious! 🤤 Mrs. Simmonds' students are experimenting with heat transfer methods to toast marshmallows. They're using conduction on a hot plate, convection with a popcorn popper, and radiation with a heat lamp.

🏈PLAYER OF THE WEEK🏈
7th grade - Hunter Dudley is player of the week for 7th grade. He has improved greatly over the year on his kicks and punts. He was 1/1 on PAT field goal and had a field flipping punt.
8th grade - Boston Hamilton is player of the week for 8th grade. He put on a great display of passing against Tahlequah for throwing well over 150 yards and a touchdown. He is continuing to grow as a Quarterback and with his great effort the Zebras were able to win 12-0 over the Tigers!

Mrs. Simmonds' WIN class had a blast making Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid inspired by a Dr. Seuss book. It's fascinating how it can act like a liquid and a solid depending on the pressure applied to it! 🔬

Surprise visit from a very special guest! 🤗 Coach Dexter dropped by today, and we were so excited to see him. We can't wait for his full return!🎉 We've missed him!

We had a special visitor today at our school! PawLea, the adorable therapy dog from Volunteers for Youth, stopped by to brighten our day and bring a little extra joy to our students. We're so grateful for the work that Volunteers for Youth does to support our community!🐾💕

Students in Mr. Wadsworth's classes are diving deep into Earth's four major physical systems: the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere.
They're discovering the interconnectedness of these systems and their impact on life as we know it. Our future scientists are eager to learn more about our fascinating planet!

Students cracked the code to Order of Operations!🔎🔢
Our young mathematicians spent an exciting Friday participating in a CSI Clue mystery game. They deciphered through 10 math clues using their Order of Operations skills, collaborating and thinking critically to solve the puzzle.
A big shout-out to Mr. Borntreger for making math engaging and enjoyable!

Fun times in Mrs. Steffey's Science class today! Students practiced their measurement skills. They explored different tools and techniques, gaining hands-on experience and expanding their understanding of the scientific method.

🏈PLAYER OF THE WEEK🏈
Jakob Snyder-Frazier, our 7th grade player of the week, showed great effort for all 4 quarters. He made numerous tackles for losses and never gave up on any play. He showed great skills of leadership and toughness.
Devin Kinnard is our 8th grade player of the week. He is a great player in all three phases of the game and is a big play waiting to happen. He scored a 60 yard rushing touchdown had 70 yards of receiving and made multiple tackles on defense, and with that effort he earned himself player of the week.
