Mrs. Boyd's science class was bursting with excitement—literally! 🌬️ Students explored the scientific method by conducting a fun bubble-blowing experiment! Students practiced making observations, collecting data, and writing claims based on their findings.

In Mrs. Prine's English class, students brought language learning to life! They embarked on a real-world adventure to uncover parts of speech in our surroundings.
Students searched for nouns and then flexed their descriptive skills by creating a list of adjectives to modify each one. It was amazing to see their creativity shine as they found new ways to describe the objects they discovered!

It's Homecoming Week! Monday was a cozy one with PJ Day! Our students and staff kicked off the week in style, showing off their favorite sleepwear and starting the festivities right!

Ms. Reyes' class was a blast! 🌎🎉 They played Worldle, a geography-themed game that took us on a virtual journey across the globe! Students used clues like languages, cars, buildings, and more to guess fascinating locations around the world.
It was an engaging and educational way to broaden our horizons and foster cultural awareness. What a fun adventure!

Thank you, Science Museum of Oklahoma for bringing STEAM live to WRJH! The students loved it! Here's a little information about STEAM live- STEAM Live focuses on the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics with the intention to inspire youth to see the relevance of career pathways in these fields and to embrace curious lifelong learning. These outreach events are assembly-style presentations with volunteer engagement and audience participation.

🏈PLAYERS OF THE WEEK🏈
7th Grade: Last week's player of the week for 7th grade is Jakob Frazier. Jake had numerous tackles for loss on defense and also played offense all of the game!
8th Grade: Last week's players of the week goes to the entire offensive line. The Zebras rushed over +250 yards this past game against the Comets with 5 different players scoring a rushing touchdown. They don’t always get the shine but this week it was impossible to not give the entire front their credit as they beat the comets 38-6!

Let's reach for the ⭐stars⭐
To start the year off, Mrs. Perry’s classes set goals and placed them in stars. Students set one academic goal and one personal goal. The stars were then hung in the room as a reminder to the students to always “Reach for the Stars”.

Our very own Mrs. Newbury was selected as the Teacher of the Game for last Friday's home football game! Mrs. Newbury received a bag full of goodies AND a gift card! How amazing! Thank you TTCU for helping our teachers!

🎨 Mrs. Williams's class had a blast learning about the Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, California this week! 🌟 This amazing organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 and continues to empower artists with disabilities by providing an art studio where they can create and share their incredible work with the world. 🌎 To celebrate the anniversary, our students embraced their creativity and crafted black glue watercolor art pieces, inspired by the talented artists at Creative Growth!

It’s all about precision and accuracy in Mrs. Worley’s science class! 📏📐 Students are honing their measurement skills, refining their understanding of length, width, height, and more.
With rulers, measuring tapes, and an eye for detail, these future scientists are practicing the fundamentals of measuring objects and distances.
