It looks like the meteorologists were right on the mark this time. Claremore Public Schools will be closed again on Wednesday, February 19th, due to the continued winter weather. While we always strive to keep schools open, safety remains our top priority.
After-school activities, athletics, and competitive events are canceled. Coaches and program directors will provide updates on specific activities through Rooms on your CPS mobile app.
This will be an official “snow day,” so your assignment includes being safe, staying warm, and making a memory! Make it “A Great Day To Be A Zebra.”
District leaders will continue to monitor the forecast and evaluate conditions, and decisions will be made on a day-by-day basis. Updates will be on all CPS platforms (Website, Mobile App, Facebook, & Email) and local TV stations. Download the app on Android or iPhone. Make sure your contact information is up to date on your parent portal.

Ms. Reyes' class is exploring history hands-on! 🌵💼 Students took a virtual trip back to the Oregon Trail, experiencing the challenges of westward expansion. They managed budgets, had to make sure they had enough supplies, and calculated their risks, with a few making it all the way to Oregon. Smiles, cheers, and lessons learned - that's how we do history!

Mixing history and exercise in Coach Dexter's class! 🏃️📚 Our students are learning about the French Revolution and decided to get active while diving into their readings. They walked around the school while discussing key events, then used the common areas and halls for more study time. What a way to make history both engaging and heart-healthy!

Spreading love this Valentine's Day! 💕 In Mrs. Boyd's WIN class, students created Valentines for our local veterans. These tokens of appreciation will be delivered to the Claremore Veterans Center, to show our gratitude and bring smiles to those who have served our country.

Last semester, Dr. Young's 7th graders studied the art of figurative language and created their own original poems. They worked hard to include figurative language and illustrations. The books have now been published! How cool is that?
Way to go, young poets!
